• BSc (Hons) from Univ of Delhi – 1971
• MBA (Full Time) from FMS, Univ of Delhi in 1973. 7th position in University with Distinction in 3 subjects.
• Hon. Faculty Member and Examiner at Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping, Mumbai for 3 years – 1991 to 1994.

• Hands on experience in all aspects of Commercial Shipping – risen from Officer Trainee to the post of Managing Director.
• Employed by 4 Corporations abroad, I am one of very few who got the opportunity to work directly under 3 Billionaires. This helped me to gain unparallel experience in Top Management positions.
• I am a natural Team Builder. I have coached many young officers to attain glory in their careers.
• I have Chartered and Operated every type of Commercial vessel - Small Dry Cargo to Capes, Product Tankers to VLCCs, LPG to Ethylene Carriers & Chemical Carriers.

Career Path

• 1973 to 76 – Executive Trainee in Reliance Industries Ltd at Ahmedabad and CM International at Mumbai.
• 1976 to 80 – Indian Oil Corporation (Marketing Div) as Junior Officer.
• 1981-91 – Asst Manager to Sr. Manager in Shipping Corporation of India – gained experience in various fields of Commercial Shipping including 1st Class exposure to Ship Chartering & Operations.
• 1991–94 - Addl GM (Shipping) - Reliance Industries Ltd. Directly handled Chartering & Operations of Chemical Tankers & Gas Carriers. Started Commercial Shipping Division at Reliance.
• 1994 – 96 – GM & Head of Chartering for Essar Shipping Ltd with 54 vessels. Handled Dry Cargo, Tankers and Gas Carriers.
• 1996 – 2002 – Started Asian Subsidiary of Norwegian Gas Carriers, at Singapore as “Head of Chartering” for East of Suez business followed by “Commercial Director” in Korasia Shipping Ltd at Singapore.
• 2002 – 2005 - VP (Chartering) at Essar Steel Ltd, Hazira having overall responsibility for Chartering & post fixture for 5 million mts cargo for Essar Steel. A challenging Top Management position.
• 2005 onwards I am the Managing Director of Contilines Asia Pte Ltd, Singapore, a subsidiary of Conti7 Shipping Group, Belgium – www.conti7.be
